A tear strip mailer box is a corrugated shipping box with a perforated strip built into the board. The box ships sealed, and the customer pulls the strip to open it cleanly without a knife or scissors. Some designs add a second adhesive strip so the same box can be resealed for returns.

The tear strip is a narrow band of corrugated board between two perforated lines, with a printed pull tab at one end. The box is sealed with a peel-and-seal adhesive strip at packing, and the customer opens it by pulling the tab around the box.
Because nobody needs a blade, there is less risk of cutting the product inside, and the box stays intact. A second adhesive strip under the first one lets the customer close the same box again for a return, which saves the cost of sending a new mailer.
The outside and inside can both be printed, so the tear strip itself, the pull tab and the inside of the lid all carry the brand. Sizing the box to your product keeps the fit snug and reduces void fill and dimensional-weight shipping charges.
