Custom Candle Packaging

Updated

Custom candle packaging is printed boxes, inserts and labels made to fit jar, tin, pillar and votive candles. It protects glass in transit and presents the scent and brand on the shelf. Vorex helps candle makers and home fragrance brands in the USA and Canada order packaging made to their exact size.

12 options. Every product is made to your size with your artwork.

What candle packaging does

A candle box has two jobs. It keeps glass jars and tins from breaking or scuffing on the way to the customer, and it sells the scent before anyone smells it. Most candle brands use a box sized closely to the vessel, often with an insert so the candle cannot move.

Styles that suit candles

  • Tuck end boxes for single jar candles on retail shelves.
  • Two-piece and rigid boxes for luxury candles and gift sets.
  • Mailer boxes with inserts for candles sold online.
  • Window boxes when you want the wax color or vessel on show.
  • Cylinder tube boxes for round pillar candles.

Materials and finishes

SBS paperboard gives crisp, full-color print for retail cartons. Kraft suits natural soy and beeswax brands, since kraft is unbleached and shows its brown fiber. Corrugated board adds protection for shipping glass. For gift lines, foil stamping, embossing and soft-touch lamination give a premium feel.

Design tips

Measure the vessel with the lid on and add room for an insert. Put the scent name where it shows on the shelf, often on the front and the top. Leave space for safety and burn instructions, and check current labeling expectations for the markets you sell in. A short scent description on the side panel helps shoppers who cannot smell the candle in a closed box.

How ordering works

Tell us the candle dimensions, how many you sell together and the quantity you need. We reply with pricing and recommend a style and insert. Our designers can place your artwork on the dieline, and you approve a digital proof before print. Our production partner makes the boxes and ships them anywhere in the USA and Canada. If you sell both in stores and online, ask about using one retail box inside a plain shipper so a single design covers both channels.

FAQ

Custom Candle Packaging: common questions

What kind of box is best for shipping candles?
For online orders, a corrugated mailer box with a cardboard or molded insert keeps glass jars from moving and cracking. Retail cartons alone are thinner and may need an outer shipping box. Tell us the jar size and whether you ship singles or sets and we suggest the right combination.
Should a candle box have an insert?
An insert is a good idea for glass jars, tins with lids that can pop off, and gift sets with several items. It holds each piece in place so it does not rattle or break. Paperboard and corrugated inserts can be printed or left plain to keep costs down.
Can I get kraft candle boxes?
Yes. Kraft is unbleached paperboard with a natural brown look that suits soy, beeswax and eco-minded candle brands. It takes one or two-color printing well, and white ink can be used for contrast. Kraft boxes are widely recyclable where paper packaging is collected.
What should I print on a candle box?
Most brands print the brand name, scent name, a short scent description, wax type, net weight and burn or safety instructions. Some markets have specific labeling expectations for candles, so check current requirements where you sell. Leave the main panel clean so the scent name stands out.
Can you make a box for a three-candle gift set?
Yes. Gift sets usually use a two-piece rigid box or a mailer box with a die-cut insert that holds each candle in its own slot. Send the size of each candle and the layout you want, and we reply with pricing and a recommended style.
