Free Box Dieline Generator
A dieline is the flat template of a box that shows where it is cut and folded. This free generator draws one for your exact inside size in eight common styles (reverse and straight tuck end, auto-lock bottom, mailer, pillow, sleeve, two-piece tray and lid, and gable), with cut, fold, bleed and safe zone lines on separate layers. Download it as SVG or as a PDF drawn at actual size, then place your artwork on it.

How to use a dieline
From template to printed box
- Pick the box style. Choose the style and enter the inside length, width and height in inches or millimetres.
- Set the board. Choose SBS paperboard, E-flute corrugated or a custom thickness, and adjust the glue and tuck flaps if you need to.
- Download the template. Download the dieline as SVG or PDF. Both are drawn at actual size.
- Check the scale. Print the PDF at 100% (actual size) and measure the 1 in bar in the legend, then cut and fold a test sample.
- Place your artwork. Open the file in Illustrator, Affinity, Inkscape or Canva, keep the dieline on its own layer, extend backgrounds to the bleed line and keep text inside the safe zone.
- Send it to print. Ask your printer to confirm the final die line for their board, then send the artwork for a proof.
FAQ
Dieline questions
Is the dieline generator free?
Yes. Make and download as many dielines as you like, as SVG or PDF. There is no sign-up and nothing is uploaded: the drawing is made in your browser.
Will the PDF print at the right size?
The PDF page is the size of the drawing, so printed at 100% (actual size, not fit to page) it measures true. Check the 1 in and 25 mm bars in the legend. Large dielines need a large-format printer or tiling.
Which programs open the files?
Both files are vectors. Illustrator, Affinity Designer, Inkscape, CorelDRAW and most PDF viewers open them; the cut, fold, bleed, safe zone and label layers stay separate.
Are the dimensions inside or outside?
Inside. Each style adds rule-of-thumb board allowances so the folded box keeps roughly the inside size you enter. Your printer may adjust the final die for their board and machine.
Can you print the box for me?
Yes. Use the Get a free quote button: the size and style go with your request, and a packaging specialist replies with pricing and a digital proof on the exact dieline.
