How custom vial boxes keep small vials safe

Vials are small, often glass and usually filled with something valuable, so the box must stop them from moving or touching each other. Custom vial boxes use an insert with a cavity for each vial, made to your exact vial diameter and height. That holds them upright, protects caps and crimps, and lets a user lift one vial out without disturbing the rest.

Single vials usually go in tuck-end or auto-lock cartons in SBS paperboard with a card collar insert. Multi-vial kits use a sleeve-and-tray or two-piece box with a die-cut card or foam tray holding a row or grid. Custom vial boxes with inserts for fragrance and cosmetic samples can use rigid boxes for a premium discovery set. Pharmaceutical and research products may need specific labeling, tamper evidence or storage information; requirements vary, so check current rules and ask about tamper-evident options.

Vial packaging is usually functional first. Keep the product name, strength or volume and count easy to read, and leave clear panels for labels, lot numbers and expiry dates that may be applied later. For sample sets and fragrance vials, a printed lid lining and foil logo turn the same insert into a gift-ready kit. A printed card in the lid can list what each vial contains, which helps when vials look alike.

FAQ

Custom Vial Boxes: questions answered

Still unsure? Ask a packaging specialist.

What insert holds vials in a box?
Die-cut card collars or trays with one hole per vial are the most common, and foam inserts suit fragile glass or larger kits. The insert is cut to your vial diameter and height so each vial stands upright and separate.
Can you make boxes for 10ml or 3ml vials?
Yes. Vorex makes vial boxes to your exact vial dimensions, whether they are small sample vials or larger ones. Share the diameter, height including the cap and the count per box, and the insert is planned around them.
Do vial boxes need special labeling?
It depends on the product. Pharmaceutical and research vials often have specific labeling and storage requirements that vary by market, so check the current rules. Supply your text, and leave space for labels or codes applied later.
Can a vial box hold several vials as a kit?
Yes. Sleeve-and-tray and two-piece boxes with a card or foam tray can hold a row or grid of vials, plus a leaflet or instructions card. Share the count and layout you want and the tray is designed for it.
How do I get a quote for custom vial boxes?
Send your vial dimensions, count per box, style, quantity and artwork through the quote form. A Vorex specialist replies with pricing, and a digital proof shows the insert layout and artwork placement before production begins.
