What Is Pillow box?
Updated · Vorex Packaging
A pillow box is a small folding box with curved, pinched ends that give it a pillow-like shape when closed. It is made from a single sheet of paperboard or kraft with curved score lines, assembles in seconds without glue, and is popular for jewelry, gift cards, favors, soap, hair extensions and other small, light items.
Pillow boxes ship flat. To assemble one, you press the curved ends inward along their score lines, and the ends fold shut to hold the contents. The shape gives a gift-like presentation with very little material.

Limits and options
Pillow boxes are best for small, flat or soft products that are not heavy. They offer modest protection and are not designed for mailing on their own. They can be made from kraft for a natural look, coated white board for full-color printing, clear PET plastic to show the product, or with foil and windows for extra appeal. A belly band, ribbon or sticker can add a finishing touch.
