Custom Dispenser Boxes

Updated

Custom dispenser boxes are printed cartons with a perforated or die-cut opening that lets people take out one item at a time while the rest stay inside. They suit tea bags, single-serve packets, gloves, tissues, samples and small accessories. Vorex makes dispenser boxes to your exact size for brands in the USA and Canada.

Custom Dispenser Boxes

What is a dispenser box?

A dispenser box is a carton built for repeat access. It has an opening, often a perforated panel that tears away on first use, so items can be pulled out one by one. Familiar examples include tea bag cartons, glove boxes, tissue boxes and countertop boxes of single-serve packets. The box stays on a shelf or counter and keeps the remaining items tidy and clean.

When to choose a dispenser box

Choose a dispenser when customers use your product a little at a time: tea, sachets, sugar sticks, wipes, gloves, sample packs or small retail items sold at a counter. A dispenser keeps your brand in sight every time someone reaches for the next item, which makes it a strong format for products used daily at home or work.

Materials and finishes

Most dispenser boxes use SBS paperboard, a bleached board with a smooth white surface that takes detailed print, or kraft board for a natural, unbleached look. Heavier contents may need E-flute corrugated. Matte or gloss lamination helps the box handle repeated use, and the tear-away panel is designed so it opens cleanly without ripping the print.

Design tips

  • Plan the opening: place it where hands reach naturally, often the front or top.
  • Keep key text off the tear panel: it is removed on first use.
  • Add usage cues: a short line such as "push here to open" helps.
  • Size to the contents: send exact item sizes and counts so items slide out without jamming.

FAQ

Custom Dispenser Boxes: common questions

What products are dispenser boxes used for?
Common uses include tea bags, coffee and sugar sticks, single-serve snacks, gloves, tissues, wipes, sample sachets and small retail items sold from a counter. Any product people take one at a time can work well in a dispenser box, as long as the opening is sized to the item.
How does the opening on a dispenser box work?
Most dispenser boxes have a perforated panel that the customer presses or tears away on first use, revealing an opening. Others have a permanent die-cut slot or a hinged flap. We set the opening on your dieline to match your product, and you see it on the digital proof before print.
Can dispenser boxes be used for food?
Yes, dispenser boxes are widely used for tea, sugar, snacks and similar items. Individually wrapped products are the most common fit. If food will touch the board directly, mention it in your quote request so we can advise on suitable materials, and check the labeling rules for your product category.
Are kraft dispenser boxes available?
Yes. Kraft board is unbleached, so it keeps a natural brown color that suits organic, eco-minded and craft brands. It prints well in darker inks and simple designs. If you need bright, full-color artwork, white SBS paperboard is usually the better choice. We can quote both.
How do I order custom dispenser boxes?
Send us the size and count of the items to go inside, your preferred material and your artwork through the quote form. We reply with pricing, help set the artwork on the dieline and send a digital proof before print. Production starts once you approve it.
